Karthi explains the difference between his films 'Kaithi' and 'Meiyazhagan'

Karthi is awaiting the release of his film 'Meiyazhagan', which is set to release in theaters on September 27. Directed by '96' fame Premkumar, the film is a rural comedy, and following the audio launch a couple of weeks back, the makers recently had a promotional event. Speaking at the public event, actor Karthi made a small comparison between his films 'Kaithi' and 'Meiyazhagan' and explained the difference between the two.

While Karthi's upcoming film is a rural comedy and Lokesh Kanagaraj's 'Kaithi' is an action drama based on drug mule, the actor humorously explained that it was an extraordinary experience for him to shoot these two films completely during the night. He mentioned that Lokesh Kanagaraj had him fight all night, whereas 'Meiyazhagan' did not even have one fight scene.

In the event, Karthi also shared his experience of shooting with Aravind Swamy and how he enjoyed their time together as they had fun sleeping all through the day and would just wake up to eat. He also expressed his gratitude to Kamal Haasan and Suriya for doing their parts in the film.

'Meiyazhagan' tells the story of two cousins who have been apart for a long time and how one badgers the other when they finally meet after several years. The movie cast includes Karthi, Aravind Swamy, Sri Divya, and Rajkiran, among others, and the music for it is composed by Govind Vasantha.
