The film was screened across 4,987 shows on Saturday and maintained healthy occupancy levels throughout the day.
The film also continued to perform steadily in overseas markets. Karuppu earned Rs 3.50 crore overseas on Day 9 and this pushes its international gross total to Rs 62.75 crore.
The worldwide gross collection has now reached an impressive Rs 217.74 crore.

Directed by RJ Balaji, Karuppu features Suriya as Saravanan, a lawyer who serves as the human avatar of the deity Karuppusamy.
During an interaction with Sudhir Srinivasan, the host compared Karuppu to Kamal Haasan's Vikram and noted that while the film may not necessarily be considered Suriya's finest work from a critical standpoint, it delivered the theatrical celebration fans were looking for.
Responding to the observation, Jyotika said, "We're very overwhelmed. Suriya loves telling good stories and he always makes sure there's a story in every film. But the box office numbers are also required, I think, for the heroes. Or for actors, any actor, any budget. No one's here to be at a loss. So, it's very important for them also to churn out the numbers."
