Popular actor Sarath Babu passed away in Hyderabad on Monday morning. He was 71. Sarath Babu had been keeping unwell for the past few weeks and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad. Celebrities from the Tamil film fraternity have been mourning the demise of the veteran Tamil and Telugu actor and condolence messages have been pouring in.
Rajinikanth, who acted with Sarath Babu in 'Annamalai' and 'Muthu' expressed his grief in Tamil, which translates to, "Today I lost my close friend and wonderful man Sarathbabu. It is an irreparable loss. May his soul rest in peace.

Expressing his condolence, Kamal Haasan wrote in Tamil, which translates to, "A great actor and a great friend, Sarathbabu has passed away. The days of acting with him are a shadow in my mind.
