'Kushi,' which is announced to be re-released in Tamil cinemas after 25 years, is set to bring joy to the fans. A press conference for the re-release of '
Kushi' was held in Chennai, attended by the film's director SJ Suryah and others. With the impact of films like
Vijay's 'Gilli,' which previously enjoyed re-release success, the return of 'Kushi' to the screen has increased the interest of film fans.
SJ Suryah shares how he presented the story to Vijay
Speaking at the press meet, SJ Suryah said, “It gives me joy to see the

'Kushi' director highlights 'Kattipudi Da' song
SJ Suryah said, “When the audience watches the film in a troubled mood, they will enjoy the film immensely. But at the same time, a director will not have any surprises that they might not expect. Today, I enjoyed listening to the songs of the film ‘Kushi’ as one of the audience members,” he shared. Regarding the song ‘Kattipudi Da’ in particular, SJ Suryah said that he chose the song as a reference for the melody composed by Deva.
SJ Suryah recalls Vijay’s composed response
SJ Suryah also said that when the film's story was first suggested to Vijay sir, he didn't get a big reaction. He said that Vijay gave a calm response: “This is good; let’s do this.” With this, the re-release of the film ‘Kushi’ is being prepared very well, awakening new excitement and old love in the minds of the fans at the same time.
