Actress
Priyanka Mohan will be seen in ‘Made in Korea,' for which she stayed in Korea for more than 40 days while working on the film. Recently, she shared her experience of shooting the film and called food one of the biggest problems she faced there.
Food became a big challenge
While speaking with IANS, Priyanka Mohan shared that food was quite a problem during her stay. "Food was quite a problem for me because they put red meat in most dishes," she said. She added about her dietary habits, sharing that she is mostly a vegetarian but has also started having chicken nowadays.
Unpredictable weather during the shoot
Priyanka Mohan also said that the weather in Korea was another big challenge during the shoot. She explained that the climate kept changing very fast. "You could have the sun shining in the morning, and it would be raining by afternoon and snowing by night.” These sudden weather changes made the shooting schedule difficult." So, shooting in such dynamic weather conditions was the other challenge," she added.
Even with these challenges, Priyanka Mohan said she truly enjoyed working on the film. This project is her first international collaboration, and she said the Korean actors were very kind and simple.
Enjoyed working with Korean actors
"This was my first ever international collaboration, and the Korean artists are all very, very down to earth. They kind of rehearse well before they go for the actual take. We don't sit for readings. The Korean actor who plays the granny in the film was very enthusiastic.”
She added that she became very close to the team during the shoot. “I bonded so well with all of them that I had withdrawal symptoms after I completed shooting for the film and returned home," she said.
Talking about her character Shenba, she said the story is about a girl from a small village in Tamil Nadu who has not seen the world outside and wants to go to Korea.
‘Made in Korea’ is directed by Ra. Karthik and is releasing on Netflix on March 12.
