While the the makers of the film had earlier revealed that the shooting of the film is completed and the editing and post production work would be wrapped up soon, the latest is that the film has been planned to an

Maara is touted to be a 'pure romance drama' that will see the Vikram Vedha pair together again on screen. The film had been in talks for quite some time, and it looks like the makers have finally decided to release the film on a popular OTT platform. The release date of the film is yet to be finalised.
Pramod Films is bankrolling the Tamil remake which also has Sshivada Nair, stand up comedian Alexander Babu and Mouli. Reports are that while Madhavan will be playing a man at 40s, Shraddha Srinath would be seen as a teenage girl crossing her 20s. The film will have music by Ghibran.
The film is the Tamil remake of critically acclaimed Malayalam hit 'Charlie', which had Dulquer and Parvathy in the lead.
