Madhuvanti plays a cameo in a Tamil soap opera

She has been quite active in Tamil theatre and in the last few years, in films, too. Now, YG

will be seen in the soap opera

. She says, “I have done a lot in television earlier. I have acted with my dad in a couple of hit serials long ago. This is probably my first daily soap.”

So, what’s her role in the serial? “This is a special character role that comes for a very short period of time. I am just doing a cameo. It was an interesting character that Raadhika ma’am offered me, so I said, ‘Ok, I’ll do it’. I am doing a nice interesting cameo towards the climax. Actually, it leads to the climax of Vani Rani,” she replies. So, what’s her first love — theatre or films? “Both. I do theatre and films regularly now. Nothing is different for an actor. Boundaries are all seamless today. The same serial unit goes and works for a film or a web series. As long as the role is interesting, and the work is good, you enjoy it,” she says.

Madhuvanti says that there are a couple of films in the offing, too. “Two films of mine are to be released this year. First one is

MaMaKiKi

, which is a comedy, and then, I am doing an interesting role with

SJ Suryah

in another film. I will also be working in another film called Devendra, in which I play the role of an SI,” she informs us.
