Madras HC bans illegal publication of 'The Legend' on unauthorised websites

Starring businessman turned actor Saravanan Arul, the science fiction movie ‘The Legend’ has been released in theatres on July 28. Directed by JD Jerry, the film featured Saravanan Arul, Urvashi Rautela, Prabhu, Nasser, Vivek, Yogi Babu among others in important roles. The music for the movie is composed by Harris Jayaraj.

Produced under the home banner of Saravanan Arul, the movie was released in 2500 theatres worldwide. Now, a case has been filed in Madras High Court by the movie makers asking for a ban on the illegal publication of the movie on website service companies and on unauthorized websites by the government.

According to reports, the case was heard at the Madras High Court before Justice Senthilkumar Ramamurthy and the case was that the movie was made at a huge cost and an illegal publication on the net will create a huge loss for the producer. Reportedly, the court has ordered the 1,262 websites and 29 internet service producers to be banned from publishing the movie ‘The Legend’ illegally on the internet.
