Madras High Court suspends director Lingusamy's 6 months jail sentence

Director Lingusamy a couple of weeks back was allegedly sentenced to jail for 6 month period in relation to a fraud case over non-repayment of a loan from a private firm. The Saidapet bench court on April 22 reportedly gave a verdict that Lingusamy and his brother have paid 20% of the loan and have addressed the issue. The court reportedly dismissed the appeal filed against them over a sentence of imprisonment of 6 months as the director also had made arrangements to pay the rest of the loan amount as well.

The court has dismissed the imprisonment notice on the condition that the entire amount should be deposited within six weeks.

Director Lingusamy made a few hit films like 'Aanandham', 'Run', 'Sandakozhi', and 'Paiyaa'. The last film made by the director was 'The Warriorr'. The movie marked the director's Telugu film debut.
