Malavika Mohanan rings in Deepavali at her new pad
We’d reported that Malavika Mohanan would be celebrating her Deepavali at her new home. Now, we’ve chanced upon a few pictures of the actress at her new home, which she has been doing up.

The actress started the celebrations by doing a poojai in the evening. Speaking to us earlier, Malavika had said, “For me, the festival is all about spending a lot of time with family and friends. This year, my brother is also home. Unfortunately, we can’t fly down to Kerala to visit our extended family; my grandparents live there. So, it’s just going to be us. We will be performing Lakshmi Puja on the main day. And also have some great food.”
The actress, who is all set to start shooting for her next film in Kollywood with Dhanush soon, has been busy doing up their new home. “As a family, we have a very earthy taste. We are using Athangudi tiles for the whole house, and have infused elements of a typical Malayali household. While my parents are doing up the house the traditional way, my room will reflect my choices and taste,” she told us.
