The Malayalam film 'Manjummel Boys' was released in theatres on February 22 and the film has been critically acclaimed. Apart from Kerala, the movie received a good response in Tamil Nadu as well making the movie to gross more than Rs 100 crore at the box office.

Directed by Chidamambaran, the film is a suspense thriller and is based on the real life incident that happened in 2006. Now, taking to Twitter, director Chidamabram thanked the audience for their immense support for the film. His tweet read, "#ManjummelBoys 100 cr Surprise Unconditional Love Thanks all audience support but special thanks to Tamil audience."

'Manjummel Boys' is the first Malayalam film that has got more than 1200 screenings in a day across theatres in India. The film's cast and crew received a huge praise and the team also met actor Kamal Haasan in Chennai a couple of days back. The story of the film is about the boys who come on a tour to Kodaikanal and how one of them falls into the deep pit of Guna caves and how he survives through the cave and escapes with the help of his friends.

Following 'Premam', it is 'Manjummel Boys' that has got a rave response from Tamil audience and the fans after watching the movie are requesting the theatres for re-release of Kamal Haasan's 'Guna' where the film was entirely shot.
