'Mankatha 2': Venkat Prabhu waits for the approval of Thala - Thalapathy

2' in his recent interview with an online portal and said that he is waiting the approval of Thala - Thalapathy for 'Mankatha 2'.

'Mankatha' features Ajith and Arjun in surprising roles, and many wished to see Vijay in the place of Arjun in the film. Venkat Prabhu has now recalled this meeting with Vijay during the shooting of 'Mankatha', where the actor was shooting for his film 'Velayudham'. Venkat Prabhu had told Ajith and Vijay about both working together for a film, and they also showed interest in his idea. Now, the director plans on doing 'Mankatha 2' with both stars and waiting for Thala Ajith and Thalapathy Vijay to give a go-ahead. However, the director is yet to develop the story for 'Mankatha 2', and don't know when it will happen.

While, Venkat Prabhu's 'Party' has delayed its release, his current film 'Maanadu' starring Simbu is on hold due to the Coronavirus spread.
