Meet the cast of Dhanush's #D44

Dhanush is going to start shooting for his film with Mithran Jawahar, referred to as #D44, this week. The film, expected to be a family drama with its share of romance, will mark the fourth collaboration between the director and the actor, after Yaaradi Mohini, Kutty and Uthamaputhiran. The story is set in two time periods — the protagonist's college days and his adulthood. Dhanush has two love interests, one during the college portions and another for the latter part of the hero's life. #D44 will have music by Anirudh, who will be joining hands with Dhanush after five years.

The Mersal actress will be sharing screen space with Dhanush for the first time, and she is likely to be paired opposite his character in the post-college portions. Fans are already looking forward to some superb chemistry between Nithya and Dhanush, who are both noted performers.

The actress, who has about 10 films in hand, is likely to be seen in the college portions in the film. We hear that portions are going to be shot only in September.

While there was speculation that Hansika might be pairing up with Dhanush after 2011's Maappillai, the makers have finally roped in Raashi Khanna for this multi-starrer. She will start shooting her scenes in August itself, we are told.

The National Award-winning actor will be acting alongside Dhanush for the third time with this film, after Thiruvilayadal Aarambam, in 2006, and Asuran, in 2019.

The veteran director will be acting alongside Dhanush for the first in this film. His character is expected to be an emotionally charged one.
