The 80s and 90s of Tamil cinema had a flurry of stars who entertained us in many ways. There are times when many of us thought that a certain actor would've fit a role in some of the new films. Here, we look at actors who made a name for themselves in 80s to 90s and made a comeback in recent times.

Popular actor Mic Mohan made his Tamil debut in Moodu Pani (1981). Since then, he has acted in many hit movies with chartbuster songs. The actor is making his Tamil comeback after a decade with the movie Haraa. The teaser of the movie, which released recently, has crossed over 1 million views.

Actor-director Prabhu Deva, known as India's Michael Jackson, is known for his dancinf skills and comical timing has acted in many hit movies. Though he was busy as a director in the 2000s and 2010s, his last proper acting role in Tamil was Engal Anna in 2004. Over a decade later, the actor returned to the silver screen with Devi in 2016.

Actor Silambarasan's father, T Rajendhar, is known for his fierce dialogues and handling multiple departments single handedly in films. With his last film, in which he played a full-fledged role, releaseing in 2007, the versatile actor made his comeback with the movie Kavan, directed by late KV Anand.

Actor Ramkrishnan, popularly known as Ramki, made his debut Chinna Poove Mella Pesu in 1987 and has acted in many successful movie including Senthoora Poove, Inaindha Kaigal, Viswanathan Ramamoorthy etc. Having acted till mid 2000s, the actor made a comeback in the Venkat Prabhu directorial Biriyani in 2013.
