Nandaa is now playing the lead in an adventure
film titled
Zhagaram
. The film is directed by debutant
Krish, and is based on a novel.
“Nandaa sir and I had initially begun shooting a sports film set against the backdrop of hockey, but it got dropped. And then, I came across this novel Project Ak, written by Kava Kamz, a first-time writer. I could see that it was an adventure story like The Da Vinci Code, but rooted in our culture. I pitched this story to Nandaa sir, who was also excited,” recounts Krish on the origin of the film.
Talking about the plot, he says, “Four people go in search of a treasure and the adventure that befalls them is what the film is all about.”
Eden Kuriakose, who plays the female lead, Vishnu Bharath and Chandramohan form the rest of the quartet. Meenesh Krishnaa plays the villain. Dharan is composing the music for this film, which will have one
song. “It is written by Kabilan, and sung by Shweta Mohan and Haricharan. Gautham Menon sir released it recently, and the feedback for it has been good,” says the director.
