Oru Adaar Love: A perfect film for Valentine's Day

Omar Lulu's third film after the hit Happy Wedding and Chunkzz, Oru Adaar Love has become one of the most expected films across India, thanks to a clip from the film — featuring the now famous wink of its lead star Priya Prakash Varrier — going viral a year ago. Although the film features new faces, some of the actors in the film have become household names because of the popularity of the wink. Priya Prakash Varrier, who became of the most searched Indians on Google in 2018, is currently acting in a Bollywood film as well.

As for the story, the film is a campus romance, and is reportedly centered around four young school boys and their romantic adventures. Given that the film is hitting screens on Valentine's Day, it is expected to be the top choice for youngsters. It features newcomers Noorin Shereef, Roshan Abdul Rahoof, Siyadh Shahjahan, Roshna Ann Roy, and well-known actors like Pradeep Kottayam, Aneesh G menon and Shivaji Guruvayoor.

Interestingly, it is being said that Priya is not the lead heroine in this film. But given her popularity, the makers have now extended her character.

The music, by Shaan Rahman, has also become a hit. His recreation of the Mappila song 'Manikya Malaraya Poovi', which has been sung by Vineeth Srinivasan, was the one featured in the viral clip, and it has garnered record views. Sarang Jayaprakash and Lijo Panadan have written the screenplay and dialogues of this film, while Sinu Sidharth and Achu Vijayan have handled the cinematography and editing respectively.

Such is the buzz around this film that it is being dubbed and released in the other southern languages. While it is being released under the same title in Tamil by veteran producer Kalaipuli S Thanu, in Kannada, it is being released as ‘Kirik Love Story’, and in Telugu as 'Lover's Day'.
