Debutant director Siva Prakash, who comes from the stable of the legendary Balu Mahendra, is filming Peranbum Perungobamum, a romantic thriller, which features newcomers in the lead roles.
Siva Prakash says, “The film showcases three phases in the life of the protagonist. Debutant Vijith plays the lead role and he appears as 20-year-old, 23-year-old and 46-yearold man in the film.” He adds, “The story talks about the inequality still existing in the society. However, this film explores a new dimension of it. The climax comes with shocking revelations that will be new for the audience.”
Shali Nivekas plays the female lead. “Shewill also be travelling alongside the protagonist in his different stages of life,” Siva says.
While legendary musician Ilaiyaraaja will be composing music for the film, JB Dinesh Kumar handles the camera. The team has completed 60 per cent of the shoot. Major portions of the film have been shot in Theni, Periyakulam and Mahe, Kerala.
