The grand audio and trailer launch of Ponniyin Selvan had the biggest icons of Indian cinema Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan as chief guests. The function was attended by all the members of the cast and crew along with a host of other celebrities.
Speaking at the function, Chiyaan Vikram, who plays the part of Aditha Karikalan, mentioned that this is dream role and dream movie. It is also noted that, during his theatre days, the actor has played the role of Aditha Karikalan in Ponniyin Selvan. Also, the actor also extensively spoke about the achievements of the Chola era and encouraged people to remember it.
The event also had mesmerizing performances of the songs from the film, spearheaded by the composer AR Rahman.
The historical movie will speak about the history of Cholas, the film is based on the novel of the same title written by Kalki. The leading stars Jayam Ravi, Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Prakash Raj, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Sarathkumar, Parthiban, Vikram Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Jayaram among other will be touring across the globe as the first part of Mani Ratnam's directorial is releasing on September 30.
