Pragya Nagra is all set to make her film debut in
Lokesh Kumar’s
N4
. The Punjabi girl, who has been in Chennai for a while now and has been part of several commercials, is happy to have bagged a prominent role in this upcoming thriller. She says, “I have seen bits of Lokesh’s My Son Is Gay. When I was called for an audition, I was pretty nervous. But Lokesh was very patient with me. Even though I am a Punjabi, I can speak Tamil. I will begin shooting for my part in July.”
N4, which is set in Kasimedu, stars Sharanya Turadi and Michael. Elaborating on how she got into modelling, Pragya says, “I am a Punjabi from Jammu. My father is in the army, and he got posted to Chennai for a while. I was doing my engineering in Delhi then. I used to visit him and slowly began trying my luck in modelling. I did over a 100 commercials. I moved to Chennai a year and a half ago. My uncle is into film production and he suggested I try my luck in acting. Initially, my plan was to join the armed forces as I am a NCC cadet. But somehow, the film business fascinated me. People think I am from Mumbai, but more than Mumbai or Delhi, I like the industry here.
