Producer celebrates 'Naane Varuvaen' success with director Selvaraghavan

Directed by Selvaraghavan, ‘Naane Varuvaen’ the psychological thriller featuring Dhanush in the lead role was released in theatres on September 29. The film though is clashing at the box office against ‘Ponniyin Selvan’, it has managed to make quite a success. The film on day 1 of its release made a box office earning of Rs 10 crore in Tamil Nadu.

With a long weekend and Navratri holidays following, the movie is expected to make a box office opening of Rs 50 crore in the first four days. As the film has received a lot of positive reviews and is critically acclaimed to be a success, producer Kalaipuli Thanu on September 30, met director Selvaraghavan and congratulated him with a garland for the film’s success. Gitanjali Selvaraghavan and Subramanian Siva were also present at the meeting and the producer is happy over the success of the film at the box office. The producer garlanded the director over the film’s success.
