Amidst all the ‘political’ controversy surrounding him, the Superstar is set to head to Mumbai for the shoot of his next film, which is to be directed by
Ranjith. We hear that the director has planned to shoot live at many locations in Mumbai, and so, there will be no special sets being erected.
A source says, “Ranjith and his team left for Mumbai yesterday. As Ranjith wants only live locations for the realistic feel, the team has to meticulously plan the shoot. Many of us suggested that a set would be comfortable, since live locations would be challenging, and crowd management would become an issue. But Ranjith was adamant — he wanted to shoot major portions in
Dharavi only.
Rajini will join the team on May 28. Rajini will be back in Chennai only post this month-long schedule — which would mean next month-end.”
