Karunanidhi passed away on Tuesday evening after multiple organ failure due to prolonged age-related illness at the age of 94. Politicians and celebrities from across the country immediately took to social media to pay their last respects before the five-term Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s funeral.

to pay their last respects to the political leader popularly referred to as Kalaignar. Karunanidhi’s son MK Stalin was also seen besides Thalaivar Rajini.
The DMK president’s body was brought to Rajaji Hall around 5.30 am. On Tuesday night, Karunanidhi’s body was taken to his Gopalapuram residence from Kauvery Hospital where he passed away at the age of 94. Around 1.45 am on Wednesday, the body was taken to Karunanidhi’s CIT Nagar residence from where it was brought to Rajaji Hall.
