Rajinikanth not voting in Nadigar Sangam elections

Superstar Rajinikanth is unable to cast his vote in the

elections. The actor said that he received his postal vote late and hence, was unable to vote. He shared the news on his micro-blogging page, “I regret that I was unable to cast my vote because of this delay. It is strange and unfortunate. This should not have happened…” The actor said that he received his postal vote only a 6.45pm on Saturday. His tweet read, “I am currently shooting in Mumbai. I received my postal vote for the

only at 6:45pm this evening, despite the efforts that I took to receive it earlier.” (sic)

In the meantime, actor

S Ve Shekher

took to his microblogging page and said that the

elections

were disorganized. He said that many from the film fraternity, who are not in town, are unable to cast their votes. He posted, “Dear RAJINI You are not the only person was unable to cast your VOTE , there are 100s of out station Drama artists are in the same condition. As a protest for this kind of disorganised Election Process & arrangements, I AM BOYCOTTING THIS NADIGAR SANGAM ELECTION.” (sic)
