Rajinikanth opens up about how 'Annaatthe' happened

Superstar Rajinikanth has just delivered the emotional drama '

Annaatthe

', which is directed by Siruthai Siva, and the film is having a great theatrical run. Rajinikanth has now revealed how the project happened. The superstar was very much pleased after watching '

Viswasam

' and he connected with director

Siruthai Siva

and appreciated him. And that’s when Siruthai Siva proposed the idea of making a film with Rajinikanth. He suggests that a good story teamed with Rajinikanth playing a villager would make it a superhit movie!


Rajinikanth was surprised by the confidence of Siruthai Siva and asked the director to narrate a story for him. Siruthai Siva awed the superstar and Rajinikanth decided to join hands with Siruthai Siva, and Sun Pictures came in to produce 'Annaatthe'.


'Annaatthe' is about brother and sister emotions, Rajinikanth and Keerthy Suresh play as brother and sister. Nayanthara plays the leading lady while the film also has Meena, Khushbu, Soori, Prakash Raj, Sathish, Jagapathi Babu, and Abhimanyu Singh, in pivotal roles.
