Rajinikanth starrer 'Sivaji: The Boss': Things to notice in the film that lack logical coherence

The Tamil film 'Sivaji: The Boss' was released on June 15, 2007. The film became widely popular and it is one of the blockbuster films. Directed by Shankar, the movie stars Rajinikanth, Shriya Saran, Sunil and Vivek in lead roles and the music for it was composed by AR Rahma. Though the film was a blockbuster, it has multiple lacks of logical coherence. Here are a few things to note in the movie that are not related to realism!

2/5

The money laundering sequence

Following the interval break, in one scene Rajinikanth launders money by routing it through various international accounts as he brings it back as a legitimate investment in India. The process is depicted with such simplicity and speed that it undermines the complexity and legal scrutiny involved in actual money laundering and international financial transactions.

3/5

The brick computer scene

Rajiniakanth's character in the film 'Sivaji' uses a laptop in the film that has all his secrets and in the movie. However, he also has a computer that is completely hidden inside a brick wall, complete with a monitor and keyboard that retracts seamlessly. The logistical feasibility of hiding such technology in a brick wall without any external signs or power sources is highly questionable.

4/5

Matrix style action scenes

The movie has multiple action sequences and it is based on the 'Matrix' series. The actor fights off his enemies mostly based in slow motion and gravity defying moves. Though it is visually impressive, these superhuman feats cannot be performed with minimal effort as shown in the film.

5/5

Virus to destroy evidence

Rajinikanth in the film, uses a highly advanced computer virus to erase all records of his black money from various databases. The virus’s capabilities are exaggerated to a point where it seems omnipotent, capable of bypassing all security measures effortlessly.

Even 17 years after its release, 'Sivaji: The Boss' holds a revisit value, and the film has undoubtedly earned a cult-status in the hearts of the movie buffs.
