Rajinikanth starrer 'Vettaiyan' teaser to be released on Tamil New Year

Rajinikanth joined forces with director TJ Gnanavel for his 170th film, and the film has been titled 'Vettaiyan'. Reported to be a cop drama, 'Vettaiyan' is said to be inspired by a real-life story, and the film shoot has reached the final stage. Therefore, the makers have been planning to build some buzz for the film, and as per the latest report doing the rounds on social media, the teaser of 'Vettaiyan' might be unveiled on the occasion of Tamil New Year. Rajinikanth's films have occupied the Tamil New Year, as there has been an update from the actor's film on the special festival of Tamilians every year. An official update regarding the 'Vettaiyan' teaser is anticipated to be made soon, with a stunning poster featuring Rajinikanth.

Rajinikanth plays a senior cop in 'Vettaiyan', while the social drama also has Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, and several other popular faces. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music, while the film has cinematography handled by SR Kathir. The final schedule of 'Vettaiyan' is to commence soon, and the team will be heading to Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala for one more time to complete the film's shoot.

Rajinikanth has also locked the director for his 171st film, tentatively titled 'Thalaivar 171'. It is reported to be an action-packed film, and Anbariv will be directing the action sequences.
