The Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE) has announced its nominees for the 66th Annual Golden Reel Awards, honoring sound-editorial achievements in feature film, TV, animation and computer entertainment. Interestingly, Rajinikanth starrer '

' directed by Shankar has been nominated for sound editing in the 'Feature Film – Foreign' category.

The film which also starred Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson had Oscar winning sound designer Resul Pookutty working on the sounds in the film. The 2009 Oscar winner shared the news about nomination for Golden Reel Awards, which is the highest recognition in Sound Design.

Recognizing outstanding achievement in sound editing across 23 categories, the MPSE Golden Reel Awards ceremony is slated for Sunday, February 17 at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites in downtown Los Angeles.
