Rajinikanth's 'Vettaiyan' leaked online just hours after its release

Directed by TJ Gnanavel, 'Vettaiyan' featuring Rajinikanth in the lead role was released in theatres yesterday (Oct 10), and the film opened well at the box office. With fans across locations celebrating the Rajinikanth's latest release, theatres turned into festival arenas, while 'Vettaiyan' is positioned to perform well at the box office. But the worrying fact is that 'Vettaiyan' was leaked on piracy sites even before the end of the first day of its release. Despite the makers' battle against piracy, 'Vettaiyan' being uploaded on piracy sites shocked fans, and they also joined the piracy battle to report links to the pirated version. Movies getting leaked on piracy sites have become a regular thing, and let's wait to see when it's going to be halted.

Rajinikanth essays the role of a cop in 'Vettaiyan' and he turned a hunter to hunt down criminals through his encounters. Amitabh Bachchan played a key role in reuniting with Rajinikanth after three decades, and the Bollywood actor made his Tamil debut as well. The investigative thriller also features Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Rakshan, and GM Sundar among others. Anirudh Ravichander scored the music to add more power to the film through his background score, while the cinematography and editing are handled respectively by SR Kathir and Philomin Raj.

'Vettaiyan' gets a grand start at the box office by earning around Rs 70 crore worldwide on the opening day, but the Rajinikanth starrer failed to recreate box office records.
