Musician GV Prakash and singer Saindhavi took to their social media profiles to officially announce their divorce to their fans and the media a few days ago. Ever since Saindhavi and GV Prakash have announced their separation, fans have been coping with their heartbreak by going through their old pictures and videos together.
One of those videos featured an award function in which Prakash was asked to sing two lines for Saindhavi.
He dedicated his song ‘Ayyayo Nenju Alayudhadi’ from Dhanush’s ‘Aadukalam’ to her. Both of them were seen blushing on stage after the incident. Fans cannot believe this happened as they were good friends before marriage and started dating in their school days.

At the same time, some also shared videos from Dhanush’s ‘Mayakkan Enna’ movie in which GV Prakash and Saindhavi collaborated for a song, ‘Unakkena Mattum Vaazhum’. They wrote, “How can I listen to this masterpiece again without having a thought about you two? Please don’t make two people meet if they are not meant for each other forever. #GVPrakash #Saindhavi.”

On the other hand, the couple has been receiving a lot of trolls on social media. Speculations and theories have been circulating among netizens about the reasons behind their separation despite the couple already seeking privacy. Both of them have reacted through a statement on their social media accounts.

Saindhavi shared a post on her Instagram which reads, “It’s disheartening to see numerous YouTube videos fabricating stories about the news they’ve received, especially after we requested privacy. To clarify, our divorce is not due to any external force, and randomly assassinating someone’s character baselessly is unacceptable. This decision was mutually made by both of us for our betterment. GV Prakash and I have been friends for 24 years since our school days, and we will continue to maintain that friendship moving forward.”

Earlier, GV Prakash also shared a similar reaction on his Twitter account. “It’s disheartening to see people debate about the union or separation of two people without proper understanding. It is unacceptable to pass comments on personal lives just because they’re celebrities. Has Tamil people’s honor come down so much that they don’t realize how their comments hurt people?”
The duo got married in 2013 and have a girl child, Anvi. On May 13, Prakash and Saindhavi took to their social media accounts to issue a public statement about ending their 11-year-long marriage.
