Samuthirakani to play the lead role in Thambi Ramaiah's directorial film 'Raja Kili'

Actor Thambi Ramaiah has now officially begun the work for his upcoming directorial film titled ‘Raja Kili’. The film stars Samuthirakani in the lead role and the shooting of the film went on floors after a muhurat puja on August 3 in Chennai. The film’s female lead roles are played by Suveta Shrimpton and Miyashree Sowmya.

The cast of the film also has MS Bhaskar, Pazha Karuppiah, Ilavarasu, Aadukalam Naren, Reshma, Deppa, GP Muthu among several others. Samuthirakani and Thambi Ramaiah had previously collaborated on many films including ‘Sattai’, ‘Appa’ ‘Vinodhaya Sitham’, while ‘Raja Kili’ marks the fourth film of the duo.

The director speaking about the film with a media house reportedly stated that the movie is bundled with a lot of emotions and love. He added that the film is based on a biographical story of a man and that his intention to direct the film is right and he has always been wanting to make a movie that will have a lasting impression. Reportedly, that’s why Thambi Ramaiah is marking his comeback as a director with the film ‘Raja Kili’.

Thambi previously directed the movies Manu Needhi’, ;Indiraogathil Na Azhagappan’, ‘Maniyaar Kudumbam’.

Produced by Suresh Kamatchi, the cinematography is done by Gopinath and edited by Sundarsan. The music for the movie will be composed by Dinesh. ‘Raja Kili’ is an important film for Thambi Ramaiah as he will be co-directing the film with his son Umapathy.
