Actor Santhanam who is well known for his timely comebacks, is one of the most celebrated comedy actors in Kollywood. The actor has now started playing lead roles and has appeared in more than 25 films.
In a recent media interaction, Santhanam reportedly said that the movie makers should avoid or reduce the number of smoking or drinking scenes in the film.
Speaking about taking on lead roles, the actor reportedly explained how he has to follow a strict diet regime while playing a lead role. He also said that while he was a comedy actor, he never had to follow any rules or restrictions when it came to eating. He also reportedly said that he is ready to play the role of a comedian if the movie has a gripping storyline.
On the work front, he is now awaiting the release of his horror drama 'DD Returns, which will be released in theaters on July 28.
