Santhanam, the entertaining Tamil actor last delivered the horror drama 'DD Returns', and the film had its theatrical release in July. With positive reviews pouring in for the film, Santhanam made a strong comeback at the box office with 'DD Returns' as the horror comedy had a successful theatrical run for over three weeks. As 'DD Returns' will be completing a month soon, the makers announced the film's OTT release date. 'DD Returns' is now officially announced to stream on a popular OTT platform from September. Fans are excited for the film's OTT release as they can enjoy the biggest comedy entertainer of 2023 on the digital platform whenever they wish.
Directed by Prem Anand, 'DD Returns' features Santhanam and Surabhi in lead roles with an extensive supporting cast that includes Redin Kingsley, Maran, Pradeep Rawat, Masoom Shankar, Fesi Vijayan, Motta Rajendran, Munishkanth, Dheena, Bipin, and Thanga Durai among others. Rohith Abraham scored the music, while cinematography and editing are done respectively by Dipak Kumar Padhy and Srikanth.
'DD Returns' reportedly earned over Rs 23 crores worldwide to emerge as Santhanam's biggest box office hit among his recent releases, and the film is still running in some theatres in Tamil Nadu despite the box office rampage of Rajinikanth's 'Jailer'.
The success of Santhanam's 'DD Returns' made it easy for the actor's delayed film 'Kick' and the film is announced to hit the big screens on September 1.
