Sasikumar: Happy to remake K Bhagyaraj sir’s Mundhanai Mudichu

Taking to his social media page, Sasikumar wrote, “#37YearsofMundhanaiMudichu. Happy to remake Mundhanai Mudichu a heart winning movie by K. Bhagyaraj sir and feel proud to reprise the role played by the master of screenplay (sic).”
A source says, “In May, a picture of Bhagyaraj and Sasikumar having a meeting surfaced, and JSB Sathish announced on Twitter that the two are joining hands for the remake of the ‘epic blockbuster’ Munthanai Mudichu, to be produced by him. Now, Sasikumar has also conveyed how happy he is to be part of the film.”
Released on July 22, 1983, the film focuses on a girl who forces the village teacher to marry her after falsely accusing him of molesting her. The story goes on to show how she goes to extremes to win his love. The source adds, “It was Oorvasi’s debut film in Tamil, and ran for over 25 weeks in theatre.
