Satellite rights of Silambarasan’s Eeswaran not bagged by any channel yet: Producers
One of the biggest Pongal releases his year is
Sharing a poster of Eeswaran, producer Ravindar Chandrasekara took to social media to write, “Happy to announce Firstman filmworks and Libra productions grabbed the Digital and satellite rights of the movie. We thank Madhav media Mr.Balaji kappa for the grand success of the movie (sic).”
However, the official handle of the production house that’s backing Eeswaran tweeted, “News about #Eeswaran Satellite Rights being bagged by any channel is not true. We are still in talks with all major channels for the rights. Please await official confirmation from @madhavmedia only. Thank you (sic).”
Meanwhile, Simbu had recently released a statement, urging fans to watch movies at theatres to help revive the industry. He had said, “The reason why we finished filming Eeswaran in record time was to help revive the cinemas. OTT releases have only marginally helped to stabilise falling fortunes. If he had wanted, he could have opted for an OTT release for Master, but he remained committed to releasing it in theatres. That is due to the respect he holds for this medium.
