Earlier in January, it was announced that actor Sathish is turning lead for the second time after 'Naai Sekar', for a dark comedy written and directed by Venki, a former associate of Lokesh Kanagaraj. The makers of the film released the first look poster and the motion poster of the film, which has been titled 'Vithaikkaran'
Sharing the first look poster and the motion poster of the film, director Lokesh Kanagaraj posted, "All the best and congrats @Venki_dir one of my associate director and I wish him great success with his debut film ��congrats @actorsathish bro and the entire team ��"
The film will be a dark comedy set in Chennai that will have a serious issue as its central conflict. The motion poster showed the characters in the film as chess pieces, finally revealing Sathish's character as the king on the chessboard.
Sathish will be seen playing a magician in the film while actress Simran Gupta, who had shaken a leg with Vijay in Simtaangaran (Sarkar), will be playing the female lead.
