Arunraja Kamaraj is making his directorial debut with
‘Kanaa’
, a sports-drama that talks about women cricketing for the first time.
As per the latest reports, the makers have begun the work on dubbing for the film. On Wednesday, senior actor
Sathyaraj was seen dubbing for his portions.
Starring
Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead, ‘Kanaa’ is being produced by none other than
Sivakarthikeyan, who is making his debut as a producer with this one. The film also stars Darshan in an important role. Earlier in May, the makers unveiled the first look poster that was well-received by the audiences. Reportedly, Aishwarya Rajesh did a lot of prepping for her character in ‘Kanaa’.
Music composer
Dhibu Ninan Thomas
has been roped in to handle the music. ‘Kanaa’ reportedly revolves around a young girl, who aspires to become a woman cricketer. If reports are to be believed, the makers are planning to release ‘Kanaa’ by the end of this year.
On the work front, Aishwarya Rajesh awaits the release of
Mani Ratnam’s
‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’
, which is expected to release this year.
