Shane Nigam, one of the popular young actors in
Malayalam
today, is all set make his debut in Tamil. The actor, who has been part of acclaimed films like
Kumbalangi Nights
and
Ishq
, will be acting in director Seenu Ramasamy’s next film, which, we hear, has been titled
Spa
.
A source tells us, “The film is about a youngster in Chennai falling in love with a girl from the northeast who works in a spa, and the aftermath of this romance. Shane, who can speak Tamil fluently, liked the story very much, and he immediately agreed to be part of it. He is now hot property in Malayalam, but is so excited about this script that he even shuffled his dates to accommodate this project.” The film is likely to go on floors by the end of November and the team is planning to shoot in Chennai, Pondicherry and Meghalaya.
This will be the first film that Seenu Ramasamy, who is known for his rural emotional dramas, will be making a film that will have Chennai as the backdrop. The film is being bankrolled by Ambeth Kumar. NR Raghunanthan, who scored the music for the director’s Neerparavai, will be the music director of the film while M Sukumar, who had
shot Dharmadurai, will be the cinematographer.
