Arulnithi will work on a thriller next with debutant Barath Neelakantan. Recently, the team had also finalised Darbuka Siva to compose music for the film. The latest is that actor
Shraddha Srinath has been roped in to play the female lead in the film. Confirms Shraddha, “It all happened so suddenly. The producers got in touch with me regarding the project and Barath had come down to Bengaluru to narrate the script. The narration took place in the night between 9 and 11pm — never have I had script narrations during that time of the night. But I was immediately impressed by Barath’s narration. Since he is also the writer of the film, he was very much into the plot. I have great faith in him.”
Shraddha plays the role of an author. “I play a book writer. More than calling this a thriller, I would say it is a psychological drama purely because of the circumstances created in this film. The non-linear screenplay will be interesting for the audience to watch,” she says.
Barath adds, “I liked her in
U-Turn
and
Vikram Vedha
. Her character in this film will also be somewhat on the lines of those she had essayed in these films. Somewhat mysterious... It’s a distinguished character. As the film begins, her character will pique the curiosity of the audience... Who is she? What does she do...” The team has begun shooting for the film.
