Veteran singer and actor SPB, who passed away recently, was admitted in a hospital after being tested positive for coronavirus. While he'd recovered from the virus a couple of days later, he'd developed health complications and passed away. Owing to the pandemic situation, only a few celebrities attended the funeral to pay homage. SPB was cremated in his farm house, situated in Thamaraipakkam. Actors like Vijay, Arjun, Rahman, Sri Reddy, director Bharathirajaa, Ameer, singer Mano, and music director Devi Sri Prasad, were some of them who attended the funeral. The singer was cremated with full state honours and he was laid to rest with a 24-gun salute by the Tamil Nadu police.
