Actor and lyricist turned director Arunraja Kamaraj made his debut with the film ‘Kanaa’ in 2018. The film features Aishwarya Rajesh and Sathyaraj in the lead roles. The film impressed both the audience and critics and also appealed to all the movie buffs in the country. ‘Kanaa’ is all set to release in the cinemas in China today (March 18).


The Tamil film featured actor Sivakarthikeyan in a cameo role, and it also marked his first production venture. Taking it to Twitter handle, Sivakarthikeyan announced that he was happy as the film is releasing in China. He wrote, “Happy that our maiden production #Kanaa is releasing today in China. Here is a small video expressing our happiness. Thanks for your continuous support and love.”

In the video, Sivakarthikeyan extended his gratitude to the movie audience in Tamil Nadu for supporting the film. Actress Aishwarya Rajesh and Sathyaraj also spoke about how they are happy that the film has been acclaimed well and how it is a great honour for them as the film is released in China. Sathyaraj took a walk down memory lane and expressed his happiness. The technical crew of the film has also spoken about the release of the film in China.

‘Kanaa’ is a sports drama. The movie revolves around Aishwarya Rajesh and her father Sathyaraj. Aishwaryaa Rajesh aspires to become a cricketer and how her father’s endless support makes her achieve her dream. The movie focuses on the challenges and hardships that she will face while trying to enter the national team.

Interestingly ‘Kanaa’ also marks the second Tamil film to release in China, as the first film was Rajinikanth’s ‘2.0’.
