SJ Suryah to Venkat Prabhu: List of directors who helmed both Ajith and Vijay!

In Kollywood, Ajith and Vijay are well-known actors. The actors consistently deliver a hit at the box office. Although Ajith and Vijay have a close personal friendship, it is undeniable that the actors' fans have been eager to see their favourite actor succeed at the top of the Tamil cinema business. Venkat Prabhu directed Ajith for 'Mankatha' in 2011. It was his first film with a big actor and now he has collaborated with Vijay for the upcoming film 'Thalapathy 68' which is all set to go on grounds by next year.

KS Ravikumar is one of the veteran directors in Tamil film industry, He worked with Vijay for 'Minsara Kanna' that was released in 1999. He then directed the film 'Varalaru' featuring Ajith in 2006. Both the films performed averagely at the box office.

Director ARMurugadoss made his debut in Kollywood with the film 'Dheena' that featured Ajith in the lead role. 'Dheena' was the film that gave the actor his title 'Thala' - which he is still fondly called by his fans. AR Murugadoss then worked with Vijay for multiple films that include 'Thuppaki', 'Kaththi' and 'Sarkar'.

SJ suryah directed 'Kushi' featuring Vijay and 'Vallee' featuring Ajith. It's been 24 years since the release of these two films, but these two movies act as a great base and classics of the actors. Both the films were released in a gap of one year.

Janaki Soundar was the one and only director who got the chance to direct both Ajith and Vijay in the same film. Titled 'Rajavin Parvaiyile', the film was released in 1995 and the movie starred both Ajith and Vijay. The actors since have not shared screen space together in a film.
