Director turned actor SJ Surya and actress
Yashika Anand
are joining for a film bankrolled by Ganesh Entertainment Ramesh in Venkat Raghavan's (Muthina Kathirikai fame) direction. The shooting of the film begins today and the formal event was presided by Information and Publicity Minister Kadambur C Raju.
The yet to be titled film will have
SJ Suryah
and Yashika Anand pairing up for the first time. Fans are already speculating that the film could be 'Muthina Kathirikai 2'. The director's earlier film 'Muthina Kathirikai' was a remake of the successful Malayalam film 'Vellimoonga' and had Sundar C and Poonam Bajwa in the lead roles.
While SJ Suryah was last seen in 'Monster' in 2019, he has a line up of films including a completed Nenjam Marappathillai, Silambarasan-starrer 'Maanaadu', 'Uyarndha Manithan' and 'Bommai'. Meanwhile, Yashika who was last seen in a cameo in RJ Balaji and Nayanthara starrer 'Mookuthi Amman', is working in 'Ivan Than Uthaman' with Mahat in the lead and playing a cameo in Arav's 'Raja Bheema'.
