filmmaker KC Bokadia produced Teri Meherbaniyan, which starred Jackie Shroff and
Poonam Dhillon, along with a dog, in prominent roles. Now, 32 years later, he is all set to direct its sequel, but this time around, in Tamil and Telugu. And starring in the lead is our man

Nikesha
Patel. Confirming the news, the Narathan actress says, “We’ve already started shooting the bilingual; while Bokadia sir has already filmed for 20 days, and I’ve shot for seven.”
Srikanth adds, “We shot some portions in Chennai, Hyderabad and Jaipur. Nikesha and I play a couple in this murder mystery.”
Like in the original, the sequel will also have a four-legged animal playing an integral character. She says, “The makers have brought in German Shepherds from London and Delhi for the film. The story is not a continuation of Teri Meherbaniyan; it’s a fresh script.” Nikesha says the highlight of the yet-untitled film will be her equation with Srikanth. “Bokadia sir’s films are known for their romantic scenes. In this one, Srikanth and I share a quirky chemistry — there’s romance and humour in equal dose.”
