Sudha Kongara to collaborate with Suriya for a periodic gangster drama

Director Sudha Kongara grabbed the attention of everyone with the boxing drama 'Irudhi Suttru' starring Madhavan. The talented director's 'Soorarai Pottru' featuring Suriya earned accolades as the film won five National Film Awards including her National Award for Best Feature Film. In a recent media interaction, Sudha Kongara revealed details about her next film with Suriya and shared that it will be a periodic gangster film, which is inspired by true events. But the skilled director might take some time for her reunion with Suriya since both are busy with their prior commitments.

Sudha Kongara is currently directing the Hindi remake of 'Soorarai Pottru', and Akshay Kumar reprises Suriya's role in the remake. Meanwhile, the National Award-winning actor Suriya is also playing a cameo role in the remake version, and he recently shot for his portion in the film.

On the other hand, Suriya is working on 'Vanangan' with director Bala, and the film's final schedule is to begin soon in Goa. The versatile actor also signed in for 'Vaadivaasal' with director Vetri Maaran. Meanwhile, Suriya is also said to join hands with director Siruthai Siva for a high-budget commercial film.
