Suriya expresses his gratitude to Kamal Haasan for lending voice to Karthi's 'Meiyazhagan'

Suriya is one of the bankable stars in the South, and he is also producing films to encourage talented filmmakers. Suriya is next bankrolling 'Meiyazhagan' featuring Karthi in the lead role, and the film's songs were launched yesterday (Aug 31) through a grand event in Coimbatore. 'Meiyazhagan' songs composed by Govind Vasantha are out on musical platforms, and the film has a couple of songs crooned by legendary actor Kamal Haasan. Suriya has now expressed his gratitude to Kamal Haasan for his contribution to 'Meiyazhagan'. "Overwhelmed with gratitude! Meanwhile, Suriya has clarified the biggest puzzle over the 'Kanguva' release and confirmed that his film will not clash with Rajinikanth's 'Vettaiyan' on October 10. 'Kanguva' has been postponed with respect to Rajinikanth and Suirya has been winning praise for his respect over the senior actor.

Directed by Prem Kumar, 'Meiyazhagan' features Karthi, Aravind Swamy, and Sri Divya in the main roles, and the film is reported to be a rural drama. 'Meiyazhagan' is scheduled to hit the big screens on September 27, and it's going to be a back-to-back update from the makers to boost the film's buzz among the audience.
