Suriya finally shares his thoughts on recent controversy

Model and Bigg Boss fame Meera Mitun recently stirred a controversy making derogatory remarks against Vijay and Suriya, and their respective wives Sangeetha and actress Jyothika. While majority of the film fraternity chose to remain silent and not encourage her by giving her the negative publicity she is after some of the actor's fans had initially condemned her actions.

Recently, some actors from the film fraternity such as Sanjeev, Manobala, director Bharathiraja amongst a few other shared their thought on the same and also condemned Meera Mitun for defaming Vijay and Suriya. While the two stars have always remained silent to such baseless and senseless talk by people, looks like actor Suriya has finally decided to take a stand.

' star took to his social networking page to register in stance on the above issue. Sharing an old post of his, actor Suriya said, "எனது தம்பி தங்கைகளின் நேரமும், சக்தியும் ஆக்கப்பூர்வமான செயல்களுக்குப் பயன்பட வேண்டும் என்பதே என் விருப்பம். இயக்குனர் இமயம் திருமிகு. பாரதிராஜா அவர்களுக்கு என் உளப்பூர்வமான நன்றிகள்..", which translates to, "My desire is to use the time and energy of my brothers and sisters for useful activities. My heartfelt thanks to Bharathiraja."



In an earlier social media post in 2018, Suriya said, "We should not lower our standards in response to substandard reviews. Spend your time and energy on useful activities. To benefit the community."


Meanwhile, the star actor is awaiting the release of 'Soorarai Pottru' bankrolled by his 2D Entertainment in association with Sikhya Entertainment. The film directed by Sudha Kongara also stars Aparna Balamurali, Paresh Rawal, Jackie Shroff and Mohan Babu in pivotal roles, and its music is scored by GV Prakash Kumar.
