Suriya to produce Karthi and Arvind Swamy-starrer 'Meiyazhagan,' drops new poster on brother's birthday

Tamil star Karthi turned 47 today (May 25), and his older brother, actor Suriya, unveiled a special surprise for fans by announcing a new movie titled ‘Meiyazhagan,’ starring Karthi and Arvind Swamy in lead roles. Suriya and his wife Jyotika are producing the film under the banner of their production house. Suriya revealed two distinct posters of the upcoming flick.

One poster showcased both Karthi and Arvind Swamy riding a bicycle, exuding camaraderie and charm. The second poster captured Karthi's infectious smile as he peered into a bull's eye, hinting at an intriguing storyline.

Suriya took to his Twitter account and wrote, "One from our hearts..!" He also praised his brother's commitment to quality cinema, remarking, "Happy bday! Always love it when you give back to make good cinema!".


Karthi shared the posters and decoded the film's title, "#Meiyazhagan = Meiy + Azhagan. Beauty is always what’s in our hearts." Directed by Prem Kumar, known for his work on ‘96,’ ‘Meiyazhagan’ marks his return to the director's chair after six years. Govind Vasantha is set to compose the music for this venture.

Meanwhile, Suriya is gearing up for the release of ‘Kanguva’ starring Disha Patani and Bobby Deol and more in key roles.
