Suriya is one of the most versatile actors in the South and he has an interesting lineup. But it all started for the actor when Ajith stepped out from Vasanth's directorial 'Nerukku Ner' and he replaced the actor to make his acting debut. Suriya, the son of veteran actor Sivakumar, was doing fair roles initially to cement his place in the industry. Gautham Menon's directorial 'Khaaka Khaaka' gave a much-needed break for the actor, and it was the first box office hit of the actor.

Suriya then started developing his skills and he became more keen on choosing his films. By opting out for versatile roles and interesting genres, Suriya then reached a greater height and he was at the peak among his generation of actors during 2010. Things started turning in favor of Suriya, and he started earning huge as his fan numbers increased regularly on the other side. From individual houses, and luxurious cars, to producing films, Suriya started evolving his financial empire. Suriya recently owned a luxury flat worth Rs 70 crore in Mumbai and he shifted to the location along with his wife and children. Also, he has been getting great support from his wife Jytoika as she is also earning well through her movies.

The net worth of Suriya is estimated to be around Rs 350 crore reportedly as per Filmibeat, and this includes the actor's residence in Chennai, Mumbai, and his three different luxury cars. Since Suriya is also producing some interesting upcoming films under his banner, the net worth of the popular South actor is said to see a rise in the upcoming years.
