Swagatha S Krishnan
is making her acting debut with the film,
Kaayal
. A couple of weeks ago, she took to her Twitter account to announce that she has wrapped up shooting for the movie, which is directed by lyricist-turned-filmmaker Dhamayanthi. Also starring
Gayathrie,
Ramesh Thilak
and Lingesh in lead roles,
Swagatha
said that it was the film's
script
which impressed her and made her take a plunge into acting. And now,Swagatha has completed dubbing for her portions, too. She had shared pictures from the dubbing studio on her social media account.
In an interview with TOI earlier, she said, "In February this year, she got a call from lyricist Damayanthi, who she was familiar with because they are both part of the music industry. “She asked me if I was willing to act, and wanted me to listen to a script that she had written. We met the same day, and she narrated the script for two hours. It was a small film with a beautiful script, and I instantly said yes. She trusted me a lot, and there was no audition or look test."
