After director Vijay, who recently was given the Golden Visa by the United Arab Emirates a couple of weeks ago, popular television host Dhivya Dharshini, fondly known as DD, has been given the Honorary Golden Visa.
Over the last couple of years, the United Arab Emirates has been presenting celebrities from Kollywood with Golden Visa every now and then. The golden visa is a long-term residence that allows foreigners to live and work in the UAE without the need for a national sponsor and provides full ownership of their business.
Sharing pictures of herself receiving the Golden Visa, Dhivya Dharshini wrote, "Received my Honorary UAE Golden Visa today

Actor-filmmaker R Parthiepan became the first Tamil actor to receive Golden Visa from the United Arab Emirates earlier in December 2021. Then music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja and actor Vikram were also given the Golden Visa. Actress Amala Paul, Trisha and Raai Laxmi has also received the Golden Visa and were honoured by the Dubai Government earlier in January last year.
